Why is music and sound FX so important within games development?

Music is important in games development as music creates a mood or tone that can make the player feel certain emotion or create tension within the scene. sometimes music is made to make the player realise something without saying it explicitly. An example of this would be final fantasy XV before battle  and in battle sound and music as before battle it has this high pitch screech and as you get detected it falls to a low pitch screech until you are detected then it jumps straight into battle music this fully prepares the player and makes them aware that they have been spotted and that they are now battling the opposition. this shows that sound is important in games as it can warn the player or give audio ques within games. some games use sound to show how far a secret is from you and the sound gets louder as you get closer. sound FX are important within games as it lets the player know important info such as in FPS Games the enemy footsteps and if their reloading
